ADHD, Hyperactivity, Anxiety, Worry, Aggression, Frustration, Impulsivity... Is This Your Child?

In recent years, it has been discovered that talk therapy does little to help children and teens with behavioral and emotional problems. Both parents and counselors are often frustrated because these children's behavior does not change. It has been found through neurological and intellectual tests that children with lower I.Q. and poor auditory memory, as a rule, have better visual skills than auditory skills. For this reason, imagery, visualization and other right brain therapies such as Old Me New Me are considered best practice for these children and teens.

The Old Me New Me is an evidenced based right brain program and has helped hundreds of young people reduce their negative thinking and increase positive feelings and behavior, leading to more peace and joy in their lives. Imagery, relaxation and music first calms the young person's nervous system so that behavioral changes become possible.

An emphasis in the stories is on problem solving and making better choices.

Many professionals think that a lack of problem solving skills and good decision making skills is a major reason that many children and teens experience frustration, anger, anxiety, temper tantrums and out of control behavior.

These skills are taught and positive change becomes possible with continual use of the program. This program is often used in combination with medication and has also helped young people reduce their reliance on medication over time.

OLD ME NEW ME is a series of CDs for children and teens, using relaxation and guided imagery to help reduce a number of emotional and behavioral problems. These behaviors include negative thinking, anxiety, worry, frustration, impulsivity, aggression and ADHD behavior.

Make the Law of Attraction Work For You!

I just watched one of the most exciting videos I’ve ever seen:

http://mindmovies.com/vid1/?10382

It’s a conversation between a guy from Australia who used to be a factory worker packing boxes all day long, and an extremely successful online entrepreneur named Frank Kern.

Kind of an unlikely combination, right?

Here’s why it’s exciting

Ryan the Australian guy went from packing boxes for a living to firing his boss--in just the first 90-days of doing EXACTLY what he is going to share with you today! And that was just the beginning…Now he travels the entire world, following the sun, loving life, and doing what he wants all day long. He met Frank in California, and here’s the surprising twist…

Frank, a good ole’ Georgia boy--who just happens to make gazillions online--totally believes in this too! In fact, he tells a story about how he accidentally started using the Law of Attraction with spectacular results (that’s how heended up a Southern boy in California!)

I have a feeling some of his online buddies may be shockedwhen they see this: http://mindmovies.com/vid1/?10382

At any rate, he wanted to talk with Ryan, because what Ryan has figured out makes it extremely easy to leverage the power of the Law of Attraction for incredibly fast results. His concept is so simple anybody can do it.

The main thing is, Ryan the Aussie is Giving this away for FREE!!

I can’t believe he isn’t charging for it, but he isn’t.

That means YOU can ramp up your manifesting to attract anything you want, starting right now.

Bottom line: If there’s anything you want in life that hasn’t come to you yet, you really need this:http://mindmovies.com/vid1/?10382

Be sure you watch the whole thing, because at the end of this video, Ryan will tell you how to get started. It’s his gift to you. And it makes the Universe say YES Fast!

I’ve already started using it, and it is AWESOME!

I think you’ll love it too.

Talk to you again soon,

Kytka

P.S. You know, if you believe things happen for a reason, you need to act on this immediately. It’s like the Universe is tapping you on the shoulder to get your attention.

Simple Activity Idea to Show Gratitude and Giving with Your Children

The more often you focus his mind on things to be grateful for in his life, the more grateful and happy he will be.

Rather than thinking grumpily about what he hasn’t got, or what nasty things happened to him, he will begin to see things more and more in a joyful light.

A great opportunity could be when you have visited his grandmother, and she has done something nice for him, or given him a lovely birthday gift. No doubt you encourage your children to send a thank you note, or phone up Grandma to say thank you for the gift; but it could be fun to say something like this:

You really love the present Grandma gave you don’t you? She loves you so much. Wouldn’t it be nice to do something for Grandma? Would you like to make something for her? Got any ideas? = yes I am happy with my present, I would like to thank her = I can show my appreciation and gratitude

Discuss some ideas, like making her a photo of himself in a frame, making her a music CD from music you can download together from the internet, baking her some cookies, drawing her a picture, etc. = I can think of ideas for things that she would really like = I am good at thinking of ways to make others happy = I feel good about this

Together get what he needs together and work on his project, and while you are doing it talk about how excited and happy she is going to be. Ask him how he is going to deliver his surprise; suggest he calls her and tells her he has a surprise for her and that he will bring it over (make a time), or post it to her. He will be excited and pleased when he hears how thrilled she is, and how she is looking forward to her surprise. = thanking people is fun, giving to others is fun = this makes me feel joyful

Whether it’s a small or large project you undertake together to give time and effort to making someone else happy, he will experience the positive emotions of giving. He will become more thoughtful of others and happier as a consequence.

Show Your Child the Way to Joyfulness

Expressing Gratitude and Giving with Your Children

Here’s a tip; when you are feeling a bit ‘down’ and things aren’t going all that well, stop for a minute. Look out of the window, think about your family, and take your mind off your ‘down feelings’ just for a moment. Now think of ten things you are grateful for. Ten things! By the time you finish this little exercise I guarantee you will feel a whole lot better. It’s like magic, it works every time. And even more magical is this; it’s a known fact that the more grateful you are, the more things come into your life to be grateful for.

So how can you show this to your kids?

When he is ‘down’, or has hurt himself, or wishes he could have something which he can’t have at the moment (for whatever reason); here’s your chance.

First acknowledge that he has a reason for feeling like that. Don’t ignore his feelings or try to brush them away; they are very real to him. Then start to talk with him about the good things that happened today, or some good things that will happen soon. Ask him what are the three best things he has done this week, and expand on them.

Pretty soon he is thinking about good things and feeling good. You don’t have to wait for a time when you’re feeling down of course. Spending time each day just being grateful can literally change your life. Have you seen The Secret DVD?

The Secret teaches us about the Law of Attraction – how what we give out we get back, and that a MOST POWERFUL way to attract good things in to our lives is to be grateful.

Listen to what some of the teachers in The Secret say about gratitude:

Joe Vitale: Start making a list of things to be grateful for. Start with that because this shifts your energy. It starts to shift your thinking. Where before this exercise you might be focussing on what you don’t have, you might be focussing on your complaints, and you might be focussing on whatever the problems are. When you do this exercise you start to go on a different direction, you start to be grateful for all the things that you feel good about.Esther Hicks: Gratitude is the way to bring more into your life.

John Gray, PhD, psychologist: Every man knows that when his wife’s appreciating him for the little things he does, what does he want to do? He wants to do more. It’s always about appreciation. It pulls things in. It attracts support. Dr John F. Demartini: I’ve said for many years, whatever we think about and thank about we bring about.

James Arthur Ray: Because that’s that feeling that you have to have, and so for me, it’s been such a powerful exercise. Every morning to get up and say, “Thank you.” Every morning when my feet hit the floor, “Thank you.” And then I start running through what I’m grateful for as I’m going to brush my teeth and doing the things I do in the morning. And I’m not just thinking about them and doing some rote routine, but I’m putting them out there and I’m feeling the feelings of gratitude.

Joe Vitale: Because as soon as you start to feel differently about what you already have, you will start to attract more of the good things, more of the things you can be grateful for. Because you can look around and say, “I don’t have the car I want, I don’t have the house I want, I don’t have the health I want, I don’t have the spouse I want…” Back up, back up. Those are all the things you don’t want. Focus on what you already have that you’re grateful for. And it might be: you have the eyes to watch this. It might be the clothes that you have. Yes you might prefer something else and you might get something else pretty soon, if you start feeling grateful for what you have.

Children are no different. If your child is very young he doesn’t need to know the word ‘gratitude’.

He can certainly understand being thankful for some lovely things around him, for his parents and grandparents and friends; for the fun he has doing things he loves, for some of his toys and games and for the good time he had today.

A quick way to get him in a thankful state, in an attitude of gratitude, is just to ask him what good things happened to him today. Ask him what was the most fun at school today, what does he like best about xxxx, then comment about how lucky he is for that.In many families a Grace or thank you is said before eating. “Thank you for the food we eat …..” Even if you are not religious, you can still be thankful for the food that is on your table, grateful that you are able to have nourishing and plentiful food.

Your kids will understand this too.

A fun family exercise everyday at mealtimes is to have each member of the family say three things they are grateful for, three things they are really happy about. This may seem so simple, and truly it is. But it simply has wonderful outcomes for you all.Learning to give can be about learning to honor the needs of others; learning to help others be a little happier.

Your children don’t need to give huge expensive presents, they express their desire to make you happy when they do a special drawing for you, or pick some flowers from the garden. The way we accept these loving gifts teaches them that sharing and giving brings you and them joy.

Idea to Build Passion and Enthusiasm in Children

Idea to Build Passion and Enthusiasm

Continuously supporting your child, and helping her with her current interest is certainly the way to go. When you nurture her natural talents and the things she is most interested in she becomes even more eager to pursue them. Your interest makes her even more passionate and enthusiastic.

Let’s take the example of choosing to plan for and go to an event about something she is interested in. It could be a ball game, a theatre show, an exhibition at the museum; there is always something you can find. I’ll bet that she will know what’s on that she would love to do. It can go something like this:

“I know you love horses, I wondered if you would like to do something special about horses in the next few weeks. Got any ideas? We can plan it together. There’s that movie, or the gymkhana next month, and I read about the dressage competition. What do you think? = Wow, even though Dad doesn’t LOVE horses, he loves me enough to take me = I am so excited = I can go and read all about it now

When she has chosen, you can make plans together. “Let’s make a poster about our plan” (this is in effect a Vision Board on that topic). Search for pictures and brochures about the event in magazines and on the internet. Even visit to the library to learn more about it. = Dad and I are learning about this together = I love working with Dad = I am really eager to learn more about this

Put some words and wishes on the poster as well, and pin it up in her room. Each night before bed look at her poster together and talk about the ‘big day’, and what you both expect to happen. “What will it be like?” “What are you looking forward to the most?” “What is the most exciting thing about it?” = I can’t wait = I am expecting it to be terrific = I am really enthusiastic

Ask her questions about her topic in the areas that she is learning more, and some areas that she could learn more about, to encourage further interest. = Dad wants to know more about this = I want to know more about this too = I am really enthusiastic to know more and share with Dad
At the event you could take photos, save your tickets, collect brochures etc, and later make a book about it all together = Being interested is great fun = I want to find out more abut things I am interested in

You get the idea. Really, the big part of this is that YOU are interested enough in her in the first place – to take an interest in her hobby.

Children who have an interest which comes from inside them are not bored; they have an excitement that adds vitality to their lives. When she is absorbed in doing the thing she loves most, she is happy. Your child is even happier when you take a great interest in her interest too.

Don’t you just love to see her happy and excited about life?

Encouraging Passion and Enthusiasm in Children

Encouraging Passion and Enthusiasm

Passionate children are happy children because there is something in their lives that they absolutely love to do. Their zeal for life keeps them buoyed up in the sea of events; they can sail through the rough seas that come along because generally they are enthusiastic and positive. They have a natural in-built resistance.

The way to ignite our own passion is to think of something we love to do, and do more of it.

Make conscious choices to do more each day that leads you closer to them. Then you start to get more excited. You’re not going to be passionate about something that doesn’t interest you. Same goes for our kids. When we have something we love to do we jump out of bed with anticipation. You know the feeling; you can’t wait to get the chores done so that you can get on with what you really want to do.

That’s passion, that’s enthusiasm, that’s the juice of life.

Every kid has something she is interested in. As a parent you can fan the flame, and add lots of fun for her. I’ll bet you can remember way back, a few times with your parent that you spent together doing something – just the two of you. Doesn’t matter what it was, just having their attention on you is what you still remember. Your child is the same. When you both do something that she LOVES, just imagine how that is for her?

Some Pointers/Reminders

Spend one-on-one time together on her hobby. This means giving all your attention – not reading the paper while she plays in the same room

You KNOW you are the role model. When you pursue your favorite sport/gardening/hobby with obvious enjoyment and enthusiasm she learns that hobbies and interests can be fun
Toys, TV, video games and shopping ‘aint it’! She may seem enthusiastic at the time but that soon wears off. She becomes bored and wants more stuff.

Do more of what she loves to do.
The more success she has in her area of interest, the more enthusiastic she will be.

Remember that kids change and move on. When she has conquered one skill, and learnt heaps about something she is interested in, that sometimes is enough and she moves on.

Just because YOU love tennis, gardening, cooking …. doesn’t mean she will. We don’t want to impose our passion on our children, though more often than not, they will copy us anyway.

Being Grateful for Everything to Attract More Blessings into Your Life

I have noticed that the Universe loves gratitude. The more grateful you are, the more goodies you get. When I say “goodies,” I don’t mean only material things. I mean all the people, places, and experiences that make life so wonderfully worth living. You know how great you feel when your life is filled with love and joy and health and creativity, and you get the green lights and the parking places.

This is how our lives are meant to be lived.

The Universe is a generous, abundant giver, and it likes to be appreciated.

When I awaken in the morning, the first thing I do before I even open my eyes is to thank my bed for a good night’s sleep. I am grateful for the warmth and comfort it has given me. From that beginning, it is easy to think of many, many more things I am grateful for. By the time I have gotten out of bed, I have probably expressed gratitude for 80 or 100 different people, places, things, and experiences in my life. This is a great way to start the day.

Affirm today:

I love every minute of every day and I expand my heart to include everyone.

Shocking Harvard Study Reveals Your Child is Born a Genius — But Has Tragic 98% Chance to Lose It By the Age of 20!!!

Shocking Harvard Study Reveals Your Child is Born a Genius — But Has Tragic 98% Chance to Lose It By the Age of 20!!!

Are you one of those people that see genius as a “gift”? Do you still believe that a person is either born with intelligence, or they’re not? Do you still believe in the old-fashioned myth that intelligence is inherited?

Could you be one of the parents unknowingly holding back your own child’s genius because you are stuck with this old-programming belief that genius is only exclusive to the “lucky” few?

Have you ever wondered, as have I, what makes some people able to achieve the success of their dreams and find their life purpose at such a young age? Have you always wanted to know how they did it, not so much for yourself, but even more for your children to have the life of opportunities you never had?

Well, let me tell you that it isn’t always talent, opportunity or hard work that makes the difference. Nor is it that one person harbors dreams and the other doesn’t.

The difference lies in the person’s growing years and the freedom he was given to retain and maximize his natural talents, intelligence and intuition. Without this nurtured freedom, a child would otherwise be confined, only to spend a lifetime searching and struggling to regain that magic.

Trust me, I know …

If you think formal education is enough for your child, then you are one of the unfortunate millions that have been fooled. Let me just get straight to the point: Schools are extinguishing creativity.

Now please don’t get me wrong. I don’t want to sound like I’m against education, because I’m not.

But there are shortcomings of the mass education system that you have to know… otherwise you too will be lulled into thinking that mass cookie-cutter school systems are enough to develop your child into a successful well-balanced adult.

I believe that humanity is at the cusp of a new era.

The Flynn effect, for one, shows that generation after generation children are getting smarter and smarter than the parents before them.

We also see, particularly over the past two decades, an influx of Indigo children being born. Indigo children, called so because of the indigo aura they are said to have, display extraordinary talents with genius capabilities across multiple fields of intelligence as well as a deep sense of empathy and intuition.

Yet today’s modern society and the cookie-cutter structure of mass education is not supporting this evolution. It sticks to teaching only “paper” intelligence… and hence the Genius Dip takes rapid effect.

Because you truly care about the most important asset of out future – our CHILDREN – I’m going to share with you the most crucial discoveries that I’ve made in my years of collected knowledge of the mind’s power and potential...

This report is UNBELIEVABLE and a MUST READ

Especially for my Waldorf Homeschoolers friends!

Family Value Activity for Parents & Children

Making a Values Poster for you all can be fun.

One day at the dinner table, tell her you have been thinking about putting it all together, and would she like to help. = Dad thinks I am important and my thoughts are worthwhile = I am worthwhile = all people are worthwhile

Grab a piece of paper and start to talk about things “we all believe in, in our family” = I know some good things we believe in = I know what is right and wrong = I know where I stand

Shop together for a poster sized card.

Cut pictures from magazines, or search on the internet for pictures to download.

Take a family photo.

Work together to create your Family Values Poster: glue your family photo in the center, and arrange your other pictures around it.

Print words or phrases on the computer, or write with a felt pen on your poster, as many of your values as you like, and add these to your poster = I know these things for sure = I have a benchmark for my behaviour = I live my life like this

Pin your Family Values Poster somewhere where you will all see it often. From time to time, you can talk about it – say at the dinner table. When you establish boundaries and stick to them you provide your child with a yardstick by which to measure herself.

A child who knows where she stands and has a clear understanding of what is right and wrong is a happy one.

In Go for Your Goals – for Kids, when you are working with your child to help her with her wishes and goals, you have a wonderful opportunity to share with her and to help her to think about what is important to her.

The higher the value she places on something, the more important it is that she achieves it.

A Relationship Developing Activity for Parents and Children

A Relationship Developing Activity

Perhaps together you will choose to organize a family reunion, put on a concert and invite family and friends for a pot-luck supper and “Show’ or write a family story of an outing or holiday together.

Today let’s look at making a keepsake about an outing or family holiday; a trip to the zoo, the science museum, a factory, a fun-park, a ball-game, the airport or going skating ……. endless possibilities. Let’s choose the zoo. A trip to the zoo is more likely to excite a younger child, but the principles are the same for any activity.

Discuss Options and Plans with Your Child

Tell him you want to spend a day together and make a book/poster/movie about it – what are some of his ideas? Just you and him together if possible. He will LOVE to be just with you alone. Praise his great ideas. He will understand choosing something you can afford. = My mom wants to spend a day with me = I am fun to with.

Look up times and prices on the internet together or he can phone to ask. Plan your day and picnic, think of everything you will need; he can make the list. = Mom thinks I am a good organizer = I am someone good to work with.

At the zoo he can buy the tickets, and ask for brochures and maps. = I can talk with adults = I am a good communicator.

Create opportunities to talk with others:

As you look at all the exhibits, let him be in charge of the camera. Take photos and notes together, get him to photograph you, and to ask others passing by to pictures you together. = I am outgoing = I am confident with others

In public teach by example

Chat with other visitors and the keepers, and ask questions. Most people love to be asked things. Perhaps suggest that he ask questions about what he is most interested in. = I can ask what I want to know = It’s okay for me to talk to people

Your child models your actions.
When people help you, or you take a ride at the zoo etc., of course you thank them.

Your expectations of your child’s response (reinforced with a whispered reminder when needed) demonstrate strongly. = I am polite = I confident about how to be with others

Maybe during the following week at home make your story together, with photos, the tickets, pictures from brochures and notes about how he asked this, how he told someone that, how together you enjoyed your day. He will show it to his dad, and maybe invite relatives over. = I have made an interesting project = I have something to offer others

Enrich his life through others.
We need a sense of belonging.

For an older child, putting together a movie or PowerPoint presentation to show friends and relatives is really exciting. He can phone to invite them over, and proudly show his work. This is one project that will never be thrown away, even as he grows much older. = our friends and relatives are interested in what I do = I belong, they like to know about me

Mayans, Shamanism and the Blessing of Gratitude for My Son

My son is a Mayan Shaman.

It is curious the word “Maya” also means “illusion.” The Mayans were masters of the calendar, and some scientists now consider time itself is really an illusion. My son reminds me of this almost daily... He tells me the past does not exist, the future does not exist, except in our minds. The only thing we have is "Now". To me shamanism is a philosophy of how we understand our environment and how we move within it.

We are also conscious that our soul, mind and body are connected, which more and more people are beginning to understand. My son continuously reminds me that Mayan Shamanism does not forget the human body and the role of the spiritual world. It also encourages the progress and development of knowledge. (As Steiner would say - a lifelong love of learning).

As we (my children and I) continue on our journey to study Quantum Physics, the Laws of Attraction, Parallel Universes and that "Thought Creates Reality" - I see now in retrospect how much value was placed into his spiritual life that I allowed him to pursue this "interest". Other boys were all about Spiderman and video games, and he chose this... Reiki and Shamanism. "Why?" I remember asking... "Because people today hurt and are upside down, and I want to help" was his answer.

Well, that was several years ago, and he wrote a book about his experience... Today he is an avid skateboarder who will spend hours and hours discussing the teachings that the Masters of "The Secret" would be impressed with, usually to his 14-17 year old friends who sit mesmerized. He influences them to be kinder, more patient with people, more compassionate. I've heard him telling them that "trying to be 'cool' just makes you be a "fool". The fact is, he has all of this info and it makes him cool... But maybe that's just because I am his mom (smile).

I continuously see him not only survive the obstacles, but grow and Thrive! I see him spread love, peace and joy. I see him take kids that look troubled and shower them with so much attention, compliments and positivity, that they actually blossom in front of my eyes. I see him remain positive and upbeat despite hardships we've been through. I continue to see him remain centered and strong, even as the world around him appears to be falling apart. Most of all, I see him support me as a "friend" and fellow traveler on this journey of life and his sisters. He is dedicated to who he is in his physical form, and yet I see him working and mastering his spirituality - literally shining - as he navigates the journey of this life.

When I speak to him about current events and issues, his attitude is always very harmonic. He is in perfect alignment with what "is" right "now". He is keenly aware of the different levels of consciousness, and what it means to be grateful. He is genuinely thankful for everything - good and bad. I'll see someone get snippy or angry around him, and he is so calm, and diffuses it in a second. I've seen kids be somewhat mean or sarcastic, and he smiled and it literally flows off him. Later if I ask if that hurt his feelings, or what he thougt - he answers that he prayed for the person, forgave them, did not judge...

I do not know anyone, child or adult, especially teenager - that I respect as much as my son and his passion for life, "now". A couple of years ago he had a terrible injury. He almost died... and yet weeks later he was back to his dream, his passion, his life's "work" (which he calls play, and I am so proud of that!) My mother was livid that I allowed him to skate, to be outside - to "act normal" after he almost died. I answered that he only needed to go to the spiritual realm to gain more knowledge for this journey. Later, he told me the same. He spoke of young men going through passages in tribal and ancient culture - and that because our society/culture does not have that - the accident was actually a gift and a blessing.

I am in awe and continuously inspired by my son. Do you feel this way about your child? I mean in AWE of how terrific they are - just by being WHO they are? It is an incredible gift... and my hope with sharing my stories and experiences, my techniques and methods, my ideas and just what I have done may somehow assist you on your journey. That is why I am here... I hope to awaken you, and to teacxh you (by example) that your children are in your life to assist in your awakening as well.

Creating Feelings of Self Worth in Children

Building Relationship Skills

Our most important relationship is our relationship with our self.

Your child models your actions; when you treat your child with love, respect and encouragement he is much more likely to be the same with others as he grows up.

More important, he will feel love and respect for himself.

Strong relationships and relationship skills in your child come from a sense of belonging, a sense of inner okay ness, from observing how you relate to others and most of all from how you relate to him.
Anything you concentrate on to develop for your child is not just a one-off event of course.

But let’s play through an activity and focus on some points where a child subtly develops his relationship skills.

Whatever activity you and your child choose together can be tailored to his age and capacity.

If you draw up a family tree together, for a pre schooler it can be as simple as a tree with photos hanging on the branches showing grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and siblings.

For a much older child you can do research together, and involve him in calling them up and asking for dates of births and marriages, and asking for a bit of history from grandparents, aunts and uncles about his forbears.

You could make not only a chart of the family, but a history as well; all to be reproduced and sent around to the family.

In our family we made a couple of books together when the kids were small, and even when they were quite old our children loved to look at those books. One year we went away for several months, and we got our children to keep diaries. Many nights they objected, but those diaries are now dog eared, and much loved. They still have all their books...

An Incredible Gift for Parents

Please do not under estimate the value of this information because you get it free.

Study it carefully, it will change your life.

Today I would like to talk about "The Law of Attraction".

We have heard about the law of attraction many times, but we don't truly understand it.

In order to give it a scientific explanation, we have to have some basic knowledge of Quantum Physics. Quantum Physics is the study of the building blocks of the universe. Quantum Physics has proven that everything in this universe is made up of atoms, and atoms are made up of sub-atomic particles sometimes called quanta.

These sub-atomic particles are nothing but concentration of energy.

It has become clear that everything in this universe is made of energy. The only difference between an atom of lead and an atom of gold is that the atom of lead has energy that is vibrating at a different frequency to the energy of gold.

It is clear that the reason why the same particles grow together is because they are vibrating at the same frequency.

Since everything is made up of energy, then what is thought?

Thought is also energy, vibrating at a particular frequency. This has been proven in laboratories. With proper instruments, scientists can measure the frequency of thoughts, or brain waves.

Now, we should understand things do not just happen accidentally. Everything that happens in our life, happens for a reason.

The reason is within us.

It is our own thoughts that have created everything that we have now. There is no coincidence, there are no miracles, everything happens precisely according to the laws.

Everything we have is attracted by our own thoughts. We are the creators.

There is bad news and good news.

The bad news is that we have misused the law of attraction; as a result we have experienced many unwanted things in our lives. The good news is that from now on, we can consciously attract anything we want effortlessly.

The only thing we need to do is to send out the vibration of thoughts at the same frequency as the things we want. All the rest will be taken care of by the law itself.

You will be doing the right things at the right time.
What you want also wants you.

Like attracts like.

In summary, our thoughts are vibrating energy; we can create anything we want by focusing our thoughts on the very thing we want. Everything else is taken care of by the law of attraction.

We are what we think of most of the time.

How to apply the law of attraction?

The simplest way to apply it is to hold a mental picture of what you desire as long as possible and as often as possible. Feel that you already have what you want with certainty; you will see it quickly in your real life.

I have had INCREDIBLE results practicing these laws, as have my children, my family and my friends (who all lined up asking "how do you create miracles all of the time?"....

This is how.

Because we react emotionally (thus vibrate our thoughts into feeling) it is SO IMPORTANT to use a vision board or mental picture of what you wish to see in your life. But my personal "secret" has been the making of video productions...

The tools I have used, and I also use with my children to teach them the "Law of Attraction" - are mind movies.

Please click below to learn more, and also to be able to download FREE inspirational films, which after watching will change your vibrations, and therefore your LIFE! It is incredible - magical and miraculous how this works...

Balance in Your Child's Life

Balance...

Again it’s the little things that together add up.

As a teenager I belonged to a youth group which ran activities in a 4 Square Program: recreation, service, culture and worship. Throughout each month one Friday night would be allocated to each.

Something of the same works for us at home too. Every Day – not once a month!

Consider:

  • Work (homework, chores)
  • Play (sports, playing in the garden, riding a bike)
  • Entertainment (reading, watching TV, crafts, going to the movies)
  • Social (talking with friends on the phone, visiting friends, having people over for a meal)
  • Rest (sleep, and quiet times – with no TV)
  • Service (helping others, giving a hand for charity causes or at school)
  • Physical (food; a varied diet, NOT a very limited menu with too many refined carbohydrates, sugars and salt)
  • Gratitude (taking time to acknowledge the good things we have, instead of just focusing on more, more, more)
These days so many children spend 30 to 40 hours per week with TV and computer games.

They can forget how to play.

Consider the child who spends hours texting messages to friends – it becomes an obsession.

What about kids who spend their waking hours training for some sport – because they ‘have to be’ a star?

Some Suggestions and Ideas:

What’s a fun thing to do?

You might like to all go for an outing once a month of the first Saturday, each child taking it in turns to suggest and plan the day with you. What about the routine of the way you all celebrate special events – like good grades, birthdays, a new job for dad, an achievement in cleaning out the shed – the WAY you all celebrate becomes a family ‘thing’ which your kids will love.

A regular date with your child is a magical experience. It might go something like this… ‘From now on we can have a date, just you and me, once a week’ (once a month, every 2 months) = Wow, Dad wants to be with just me = he thinks I am special = I am special

Create reasonable and fair guidelines

Discuss together some ideas, and your budget. Each date can be different, but within a framework. = there are clear rules = I know where I stand = I know the rules

Variety (providing balance) is the spice of life

Take it in turns to plan your outings. It can be as simple as a visit to the pet shop to look about, then a juice after; working on a craft you both enjoy, a picnic in the park, going to the movies. However if your child absolutely adores fishing – then do that every week. Just change the locations. = it’s good to different things with Dad = I like it when we change things around = I feel okay to do this

Routine and consistency is important

There will of course be times when you have to change the day – but make sure you make up for it. This is a crucial part of creating a stable feeling for her. After a few weeks she will be telling her friends – ‘I always go out with Dad on Thursdays’ = I can rely on this event with Dad = it feels good = I like consistency and habit (it’s FUN)

The payback for you both of having a regular date with your child (or children) is fabulous.

I can assure you from my own regular monthly ‘dates’ with my adult children it is magical.

I got to know them much better, we had fun, made plans, and I got to have three dates every month (son, daughter and daughter-in-law). I reckon this is a GREAT idea. Just guess how you would feel if you overheard your child telling friends about your regular dates!

Fun Science Lessons for Homeschoolers

This treasury comes from an earlier time. A time before television, video games, shopping malls and other frivolous demands for your child’s attention. A time when young and old gathered around the family table on a rainy day to create their own fun, and enjoy each other’s company.

One part education, one part showmanship, "Magical Experiments" is far more than just another collection of easy science projects for kids. It's a deeply memorable set of educational activities that will keep your children engaged and entertained for hours at a time, and exercise their imagination and resourcefulness for years to come.

As you look through the pages of “Magical Experiments”, your child will discover how to...
Force a banana to peel itself and discover how pressure changes in a gas at different temperatures...

Make a rolling top move uphill - this one will amaze and entertain kids for hours, and help them discover important principles of energy and motion...

Propel a paper fish across a tub of water using nothing more than a drop of oil - a perfect activity for small kids to show them how different fluids behave when mixed together...

Float a sewing needle on water, and then turn it into the world’s simplest compass - learning the principles of surface tension, magnetism, and geography with one simple activity...

Cut through a thread hanging inside a bottle—without laying a finger on it...

Persuade a coin jump out of a glass… using only the gentle power of your breath...

Build your own tiny acrobatic show using a horseshoe magnet and sewing needles… even the youngest children enjoy this one...

Create a hydraulic merry-go-round out of nuts and a couple of straws…

Use the principles of motion and static mechanics to balance a needle on the tip of a pin…

Create hand-shadow figures, ideal for dark, stormy nights at home, or perhaps for camping trips…

Learn an important principle of elementary mathematics using a handful of dominoes, and learn draw circles and ovals with an improvised compass...

And dozens more…

And more than just getting a good grade on their science project, your children will also discover how to…
  • Build Resourcefulness and Creativity. Every “Magical Experiment” uses materials you can find around your home, and shows your children to assemble them in creative and unexpected ways. Try even a few of these experiments and a child will begin to develop a sense of inventiveness and creativity that no ready-made build-by-numbers kit can ever provide.

  • Create Their Own Fun. In "Magical Experiments", your kids will discover activities that keep them amused and intrigued for hours. They’ll learn a little science, of course, but they’ll also get to enjoy an amazing series of activities that are perfect for hours of memorable family fun. They’ll especially enjoy putting together their own entertaining games and “magic shows”. You’ll never hear… “Mom, Dad… I’m bored” ever again!

  • Exercise Their Imaginative Abilities. Make a microscope out of a drop of water. Create your fun family games out of a plate and a piece of paper. Build your own kitchen scale from string and spoons. When your children try these “Magical Experiments”, they’ll develop a burning desire to find out why things work, and a deep love and fascination with the natural world.

  • Develop a Love of Learning. Making learning science fun and your child won’t resist learning new things. They’ll retain new understanding longer, and hungrily begin to seek out knowledge all by themselves.

And most importantly, as you do these projects together, your children will spend many happy moments with you. As you know, children grow up far too fast. So now is the time to develop a deep and lasting bond with them, and to create…

Memories That Last A Lifetime!

Stability in Your Child's Life

Stability.

It’s all those little things that together add up..

The special way you always say goodnight to her with a last song and kiss
Her routines of chores, homework, bath, teeth cleaning at set times
The ‘high five’ you give each other in certain circumstances
Your secret farewell sign together as you drop her off at school
The day of the week you always go for a soda together
That every year New Year is always a family barbeque for everyone at your place
The way the family always play board games on Saturday nights
How you have her grandparents over on Sundays
That Sunday morning is ‘Pancake Day’ for breakfast in your family
Eating one meal together at the table every day

What are some of your ‘Family Things’?

Providing stability also means when you say something – you MEAN it.

This is a biggie really.

We have all been guilty of giving in even when we have made a fair and reasonable requirement. You do your child no service by giving in to whining and nagging. And kids are past masters at it aren’t they. The more often they can wear us down, the more often they can wear us down! One hint here is to give her fair warning – ‘Okay you have 10 minutes now, then it’s bedtime’; ‘Pack up now, you need to be in bed in 5 minutes’ then insist she goes.

If you have fallen in to a habit of letting her stretch you night after night, it may be smart to tell her that you are changing the rules from now on. Agree on the time, and then EXPECT her to do it.The same scenario can apply at the shopping mall. Kids learn when they nag enough they get something. Set the scene before you step out of the car. ‘Today we are not buying extras, we are just getting the groceries’, and ‘This week you can have an ice-cream when we have finished the groceries’.

Nourishment for Your Child's Heart - Help Them to Thrive!

Even the most fantastic parents can discover new ways to enhance their parenting skills.

You are reading this because you ARE a fantastic parent already, wanting to find out more, right?

Children THRIVE on a diet of routine, order and a structure they can depend upon.

Children THRIVE when they live a balanced life, with variety and interest.

Consistency and regular everyday family habits are not 'boring', infact children feel a strong sense of security and permanence they can rely on.

They then have the emotional freedom and confidence to explore their world and discover for themselves.

Rhythm, Routine, Harmony...

The Important Lesson here is to create stability and balance.

We all have a need for a big part of ‘our world’ to feel like a safe place.

At the extreme, when life becomes chaotic or there is confusion and turmoil we flounder. Remember how you felt when 9/11 occurred. No matter where we lived, part of each of us shrank into ourselves a little. We didn’t feel so confident, we didn’t feel so safe, we didn’t feel…..

When a child can rely on certain things to remain constant, and when she is provided with a good balance in her family environment, she feels secure, she learns trust, she learns to be reliable; she learns inner discipline and much more.

This strong sense of security ‘frees’ her to approach her world with confidence and a positive outlook. This sounds like serious stuff, and it is. But it is in the simple things that we can create all this for our kids. You do it already of course, but some ideas will help to focus on bringing more.
Obviously some families can have TOO much routine.

To Be or Not to be.....

"'To be or not to be' is not the question... it is the answer."

~Fred Alan Wolf, Quantum Theorist

Parent in a way that is in tune with nature and doesn't fight nature

Raise kids who are WITH you, and not fighting AGAINST you.

Kids with a deep sense of self worth that frees them to do the right thing.

You only get one chance to raise your kids, so don't leave it to chance.

When I looked at many popular and widely available parenting books I was not only unhappy with what I read but occasionally alarmed. Often the advice doesn't comply with what I know about the nature of children and following that advice could set parents in conflict with the needs of their babies and small children.

I have long believed that fundamental human nature hasn't changed for thousands of years. Throughout my life in order to understand the world and anticipate what people are likely to do in the future I have looked to understand what human beings have always done in the past. When I became a parent I realised that the same approach works with babies and small children - only more so. Children operate so much on instinct that their reactions are even more predictable and understandable, once you know where these instincts come from.

This insight has worked for me to end up with two confident, self assured, disciplined and happy children. It can work for you.

LESSON: Positive Attitudes and Fostering Optimism for Kids

You know when someone is positive and optimistic.

Generally they are interested and interesting, adventurous, braver than others to try new things and curious about lots of things. They are usually not bored; they have so much that they want to find out about and do.

Optimistic and positive people are also more likely to be thankful for what they have, and show genuine gratitude to others.

Little children are like this, but somehow, sometimes, it begins to change.

Let’s encourage them to stay optimistic.

As parents, we all do the best we know.
We do a great job; we love our kids, and have fun as a family.

But sometimes it just takes someone else discussing an idea, or a note in an article, or perhaps even one of these lessons, to set us on a path we hadn’t thought about before, and we can add to our skills and ‘parent tools’.

In this lesson, ‘Encouraging Optimism and Positive Attitudes’, as with all of the previous lessons, you build on your skills over time, and at the same time you help to develop your child’s skills and ability to cope with his world beautifully.

A lot of your progress with him comes from bringing yourself to a much greater awareness of your language.

If your words and communications with him are focused on the positive rather than the negative, this begins to be the way to think and act at your place for all the family.

Once again it’s in the little things that make the difference.

For example, instead of “Don’t do xxxxx” we can say “Have you thought of doing xxxxx”, or perhaps “Would you like to do xxxxx”. (Then when you really need to shout ‘Don’t’ in a dangerous situation say, he will jump to action).

When children are whining and complaining, instead of talking about that issue, you can change the subject and just ignore the negative talk (especially for younger children - talk about something they are really interested in), or for older children, find something positive about the issue he is talking about, in other words, turn it around.

It’s a scientific fact that when you raise the level of endorphins in the body you feel happier and more positive.

Activate those little fellers with exercise and laughter.

As you start to bring your focus to using positive language with your child, you will start thinking of even more little actions that will guide him to be a more positive person..

Here are some fun starters/reminders:

Little Actions on a Daily Basis
  • After school, instead of asking “How was school today?” ask about the most interesting thing he learnt, or the funniest thing that happened, or the best game he played.
  • Laugh a lot. Laughter is the BEST creator of endorphins, and boosts a feeling of optimism
  • Play a Game of Five Senses – in the car, or as you are sitting around the table; it just takes a few minutes. Take it in turns for each member of the family to say what they see, hear, smell, taste and feel/touch. Have a laugh too.
  • Observe good things he does and says and comment what you like about that
  • As you tuck him into bed ask him to tell you about the three best things that happened today – focusing his mind on the positive
  • Keep TV watching to a set minimum each day. Set some rules for him here. Remove exposure to those negative stories from his life
  • Always follow through with what you say you will do. If he is continually ‘let down’ he begins to give up; he doesn’t trust that things work out for him; pessimism about his world creeps in
Be grateful yourself for the good things, and teach him to observe the lovely things that happen in his life each day
  • Show him that when you give a smile, you get a smile (raise his endorphins) and improve his good feelings
  • You are the role model. If you are optimistic and look forward to life’s events with excitement, you child is more likely to be the same.

Here are some things to think about

  • Awareness of the language we use (positive rather than the negative)
  • Appropriate information for children to know (world issues like war and famine; frightening events like murder, robbery and attacks on people are not subjects for children to hear about; they become fearful)
  • Learning to notice positive things
  • Be watchful for changes. Does you child show sadness lately that wasn’t there before. Find out what is going on - now
  • Health and nutrition (Yes again – good food, and adequate sleep are crucial)
  • Being a role model (talk more about the good things happening in your life)
  • Be aware of the danger of expecting perfection (ALWAYS expecting children to be 100% positive). This can actually set them up to fail
  • Smiling. When you give a smile, you get one back
  • Learning to look forward to events with excitement and anticipation

Teaching Family Values

When you start to think about it, you know what your family values are. Every day, as situations arise, you react in a certain way – in a way that is congruent with your values. As your children grow, they pick up these ideas and values from you; they know how to respond to life.

They are very secure when they know ‘what is the RIGHT thing to do, and what is the WRONG thing to do.’ Sometimes they are uncertain, they go this way and that, and are easily influenced. A child who knows ‘where he stands’ is a happy child. As parents we can give them this sense of security.

You know you show her your family values every day.

Little kids need to be shown what you expect, as they learn what is right and wrong in your house. They learn from watching you, they learn from you telling them. Even quite big kids and teenagers benefit hugely from having values spelt out for them – not rammed down their throats of course, but subtly discussed.

You see parents teaching their children their values every day, even if they are not conscious of what they are doing. In the supermarket one mom will allow her children to help themselves to grapes in the fresh produce area, and even to open a pack of chocolate, to eat as they go around, leaving the wrapper on some shelf somewhere. The value she is teaching is that it’s okay to take things that belong to businesses. At her friend’s house perhaps she would not allow her children to take things in the same way, or perhaps she would…..

It’s actually fun to start to think of what you stand for, and to write your values down.
Where do you stand on some of the following?
  • Honesty and integrity
  • Kindness
  • Our family sticks together and supports each other
  • Fairness
  • Taking account of each family member’s feelings (positive and negative)
  • Co-operation and thoughtfulness
  • Reliability
  • Good manners
  • Responsibility
  • How to treat people worse off than you
  • The importance of education
  • Kindness to helpless animals
  • Acceptable behaviour and consequences of certain actions
  • How to respond to people more important/richer/famous than you
  • How important each family member is
  • We eat healthy food and look after our bodies
  • Respect for authority
It’s the simple day to day moments that you have with your children to teach them. In the supermarket we say quietly to a little one “No, we can’t eat the grapes until we pay for them. We don’t just help ourselves to things belonging to someone else. Let’s buy a bag, and you can have some for lunch.”

At our friend’s house we say quietly to her “No, we can’t just eat Carol’s grapes. We don’t just help ourselves to things belonging to someone else. Let’s ask if she can spare a little bunch for you to have for morning tea.“ The fact that you are quietly talking to her is also showing that you respect her, and will not embarrass her in public.
